FAUNALOGY PRIVACY POLICY

Faunalogy Inc.

Last Updated: 07/20/2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Faunalogy Inc. collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information. It applies to our website and online store at faunalogy.com (the “Site”), the Ovvi mobile application (the “App”), and the Ovvi Pet Feeder (the “Device”), together, the “Services.” It also explains the choices you have about your information and how to contact us.

The short version: we collect what we need to sell you a Device, run your account, operate your feeder, and show you your pet’s feeding history. We do not sell your personal information for money, and the Device contains no camera and no microphone. Like most online stores, we use advertising tools on our website that share limited browsing and purchase information with advertising platforms; Section 4 explains this and Section 6 explains how to opt out.

1. Who We Are and What This Policy Covers

Faunalogy Inc. (“Faunalogy,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is a New York corporation located at 105 Remington Blvd., Suite C, Ronkonkoma, NY 11779. We make the Ovvi Pet Feeder and the Ovvi App.

Faunalogy maintains several separate policies, and each governs a different subject: the Faunalogy Terms and Conditions of Sale govern your purchase of the Device and other products; the Ovvi App Terms of Use govern your use of the App; the Faunalogy Limited Warranty governs the Device hardware; and this Privacy Policy governs how we handle personal information across all of the Services. This Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference into the Terms and Conditions of Sale and the App Terms of Use.

The Services are offered only in the United States, and this Policy is written for United States residents. Information we collect is stored and processed in the United States.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide to Us

       Account information. When you create an App account, we collect your email address and a password.

       Pet profile information. You may choose to enter information about your pet in the App, such as your pet’s name and other details you provide. This information is optional and is stored for your convenience.

       Veterinary contact information. You may choose to store your veterinarian’s contact information in the App. We store it for your convenience only; we do not contact your veterinarian or share your information with them.

       Order and purchase information. When you buy from our Site, we collect your name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number, and details of your order. Payments are processed by our payment providers (see Section 4); Faunalogy does not receive or store your full payment card number.

       Communications. When you contact customer support, submit a warranty or return request, or otherwise correspond with us, we collect the contents of that communication and the contact information you provide.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically from the Device and the App

When your Device is connected to the internet and paired with your account, the Device and the App report the following to our servers:

       Feeding configuration and activity. Your feeding schedule, portion settings, open-can life setting, manual dispense commands, and pause/resume actions.

       Feeding history and consumption data. The Device’s weight sensor measures food removed from the can during each scheduled meal, and the App displays this feeding history to you. Consumption data reflects weight readings only; the Device cannot identify which animal or person removed food. Feeding and consumption data is recorded only while the Device is online — periods during which the Device is without power or without internet connectivity are not recorded (see the App Terms of Use, Section 8).

       Device status and events. Device identifiers such as serial number, firmware version, Wi-Fi connection status, and operational events such as jams, errors, low-food and no-food conditions, can changes, and power restoration events.

       App and mobile device information. The type of mobile device and operating system you use, App version, device identifiers, IP address, push notification tokens, and basic App usage and diagnostic information such as crash logs.

2.3 What We Do Not Collect

The Device contains no camera and no microphone, and neither the Device nor the App captures audio or video. The App does not request or collect precise geolocation from your phone. The Device does not track your pet’s location, and we do not collect information about your pet’s health beyond the profile information you choose to enter and the consumption measurements described above.

2.4 Information Collected on the Site

Like most websites, the Site collects certain information automatically, including IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referring pages, and uses cookies, pixels, and similar technologies as described in Section 6. These include analytics tools that help us understand how visitors use the Site and advertising pixels operated by Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google, which collect information about your visit — such as the pages and products you view and purchases you complete — for the advertising purposes described in Section 4. Our Site and checkout are hosted on Shopify, which collects order and device information on our behalf as our e-commerce platform.

2.5 Information from Third Parties

We receive limited information from third parties that help us run the business: Shopify (our e-commerce platform) provides order and checkout information, including confirmation of payments made through Shopify’s checkout and Shop Pay; shipping carriers provide delivery status; and the Apple App Store and Google Play provide aggregated, non-identifying download and crash statistics.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

       Provide and operate the Services — create and maintain your account, pair your Device, run your feeding schedule, record and display feeding history, and deliver alerts and messages such as jam, error, low-food, and no-food notifications;

       Process and fulfill orders, payments, shipping, returns, and warranty claims;

       Provide customer support and respond to your requests;

       Deliver software and firmware updates, including over-the-air firmware updates to the Device;

       Improve our products and services — for example, analyzing Device error and jam events to improve reliability, and analyzing aggregated usage to improve the App;

       Send you service communications, such as order confirmations, account deletion confirmations, safety notices, and material changes to our terms or this Policy;

       Send you marketing emails about Faunalogy products, if you have not opted out (see Section 7);

       Protect the security and integrity of the Services, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our terms; and

       Comply with legal obligations, including tax and accounting requirements.

We may create aggregated or de-identified data (for example, average consumption patterns across Devices) that no longer identifies you or your account, and we may use and share that data for any lawful purpose. We commit to maintaining such data in de-identified form and not attempting to re-identify it.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, like most online retailers, we use third-party advertising services on the Site, and some U.S. state privacy laws treat the transfer of browsing and purchase information to advertising platforms as a “sale” of personal information or “sharing” for targeted advertising. Where those laws apply, you have the right to opt out, as described in Sections 6 and 8. We share personal information in the following circumstances:

       Service providers. We use vendors who process information on our behalf and under our instructions, including cloud hosting providers that operate our Device and App backend, Shopify as our e-commerce and Site platform, payment processors, email and SMS delivery providers (such as Mailchimp), shipping carriers, product review tools (such as Judge.me), customer support and chat tools, and analytics providers (such as Google Analytics). We provide these vendors only the information they need to perform their services, and they may not use it for their own purposes.

       Advertising partners. We use advertising pixels and related tools from Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google (including YouTube) on the Site. These tools share information about your activity on the Site — such as pages and products viewed, items added to your cart, and purchases — with those platforms so that we can measure the performance of our advertising, reach people who have visited the Site, and find new customers with similar interests. These platforms may combine this information with other data they hold about you under their own privacy policies. You can opt out of this sharing as described in Sections 6 and 8. We do not give advertising platforms your pet profile, veterinary contact information, or feeding history.

       Payment providers. Payments on our Site are collected and processed through Shopify’s checkout under Shopify’s privacy policy; Faunalogy does not receive or store your full payment card number. If you choose Shop Pay, Shopify stores your payment details so you can check out faster on our store and other stores that offer Shop Pay; that stored information is controlled by Shopify under its own privacy policy, not by Faunalogy. If you choose Shop Pay Installments, your financing is provided in partnership with Affirm under Affirm’s own terms and privacy policy, and we do not receive your credit application or financial details.

       Push notification services. Alerts and notifications are delivered through Apple and Google push notification services associated with your mobile device.

       Legal requirements. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Faunalogy, our customers, or others.

       Business transfers. If Faunalogy is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of its assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will require the recipient to honor the commitments in this Policy or provide you notice and choices as required by law.

       With your direction or consent. We share information with third parties when you ask us to or otherwise consent.

5. A Note About Pet Data

Feeding schedules, feeding history, and consumption measurements are data about your pet and your household routine, but because they are linked to your account, we treat them as personal information and protect them under this Policy. Consumption data is not a medical monitoring tool and is not a substitute for observing your pet or for veterinary care; the App Terms of Use describe its limits, including that a reading of zero is ambiguous and that data for periods when the Device is offline is never recorded and cannot be recovered.

6. Cookies and Analytics

The Site uses four categories of cookies and similar technologies: required cookies that operate the Site and checkout (for example, logging in and keeping items in your cart); personalization cookies that remember your choices for your next visit; analytics cookies that help us understand how visitors use the Site; and marketing cookies and pixels, described in Section 4, that share your Site activity with Meta and Google for advertising purposes.

Your opt-out choices. You can opt out of the sharing described in Section 4, and decline non-required cookies, in any of the following ways for the browser or device you are using:

       Use the “Your Privacy Choices” link in the Site footer to opt out of the sale or sharing of your information, including deselecting marketing, analytics, or personalization cookies;

       Turn on a recognized opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control in your browser — when our Site detects the signal, we will treat it as a valid opt-out of sale and sharing for that browser; or

       Adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies, though blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent checkout from working.

You can also manage how Meta and Google use data they have already received through their own settings (Meta’s Ad Preferences and Google’s My Ad Center) and through the advertising industry’s opt-out tool at optout.aboutads.info. Opting out does not stop you from seeing ads; it stops ads from being targeted based on your activity on our Site.

7. Your Marketing Choices

If we send you marketing emails, every message will include an unsubscribe link, and you can also opt out by emailing us at the address in Section 13. If you have opted in to receive marketing text messages, you can stop them at any time by replying STOP to any message; message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and consent to receive texts is never a condition of purchase. Opting out of marketing does not stop service communications such as order confirmations, shipping updates, safety notices, account deletion confirmations, and required legal notices.

8. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

You can exercise the following choices regardless of where you live:

       Access and correction. You can view and update your account email, pet profile, veterinary contact information, and feeding settings in the App at any time. You may also ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

       Deletion. You may delete your account at any time using the Delete Account option in the App or through our Account Deletion Request Page. Account deletion may take up to thirty (30) days to complete, and we will confirm by email when it is done. Deletion permanently removes your feeding history, pet profile information, and veterinary contact information; this data cannot be recovered. Deleting the App from your phone does not delete your account.

       Portability. You may ask us for a copy of your feeding history and account information in a portable format.

       Opt out of sale or sharing for targeted advertising. You may opt out of the advertising-related sharing described in Section 4 at any time using the methods in Section 6, including the “Your Privacy Choices” link in the Site footer and Global Privacy Control.

       Marketing opt-out. As described in Section 7.

To exercise any of these rights, use the App controls described above or email us at info@faunalogy.com with the email address associated with your account. We will verify your identity before acting on a request — typically by confirming control of the account email address — and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right. If we decline a request, we will explain why, and you may appeal by replying to our response; residents of some states have a right to appeal to their state attorney general.

Depending on where you live, state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act may give you additional rights, including the right to know the categories of information collected and shared. This Policy describes those categories in Sections 2 through 4, and we extend the access, deletion, correction, and portability rights above to all of our customers regardless of state.

9. Data Retention

We keep your account information, pet profile, veterinary contact information, and feeding history for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, this information is permanently deleted within thirty (30) days, except that we retain order, payment, and tax records as required for legal, accounting, and warranty purposes; records needed to resolve an active dispute or enforce our agreements (including your arbitration opt-out status); and routine backups, which are overwritten on a rolling basis. Device event data that is no longer associated with any account may be retained in aggregated or de-identified form for reliability engineering.

10. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption of data in transit between the Device, the App, and our servers. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted over the internet. If a data breach compromises your personal information, we will notify you and applicable regulators as required by law.

A note about shared credentials: the App does not currently offer separate household member or guest accounts, so anyone you give your email and password to can see your feeding history, pet profile, and veterinary contact information, and can control your Device. Share credentials only with people you trust, and change your password promptly if you no longer want someone to have access.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children, and creating an App account requires you to be at least eighteen (18) years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen (13). If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us at info@faunalogy.com and we will delete it.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. If we make material changes — for example, collecting a new category of information or sharing information in a new way — we will provide reasonable advance notice, such as an in-App notice or an email to the address associated with your account, before the change takes effect. We will not use previously collected personal information in a materially new way without providing notice and any choice required by law.
