M1-003: No more cans!
What it means:
Ovvi has run out of food — there are no new cans left in the chute system to serve your cat.
How to fix it:
-
Remove the Chute System. (NOTE: See the Important Note section below for guidance on when it is safe to remove the Chute System and when it is not.)
-
Hold it over an empty or low-filled garbage can — up to 8 empty cans may slide out when you press eject.
-
Make sure your trash can isn’t too full to avoid cans falling out.
-
-
Press the eject button to release the used cans.

-
Load up to 8 fresh cans into the chute.

Helpful Tips:
-
Use only standard 5.5 oz round pet food cans — any brand or flavor is fine.
-
Cans with pull tabs are perfectly okay.
-
Always load cans with the tab or lip facing up.

-
For the best experience, we recommend using gravy-based wet food, as it’s easier for cats to enjoy directly from the can. Ovvi is compatible with pâté, but it may require more effort for your cat to consume.
-
See the video below for a step-by-step visual guide on how to eject empty cans and load new ones!
Important: Don’t Remove the Chute While Ovvi Is Active
Please do not attempt to remove the chute system if:
-
You hear Ovvi’s internal gears or motors working
-
The front LED light is pulsing or rotating
-
Ovvi is in the middle of a feeding
During these times, Ovvi’s internal chute lock system is engaged and will prevent removal. If you feel resistance, do not forcefully pull — this can damage both the chute system and Ovvi’s internal structure.
Wait until Ovvi is:
-
Completely silent
-
Showing a solid color LED light (any color is OK)
-
Not opening the food door when you approach (because the scheduled portion has already been eaten)
That’s when it’s safe to remove the chute system.
