A8-002: Feeding Weighing Error

What it means:

Ovvi is having trouble getting an accurate weight reading during feeding. This may happen when the can being presented touches the edge of the Feeding Mat, putting slight pressure on the weighing sensor underneath the Nest.

How to fix it:

1. First — do nothing but continue to monitor the feeding history to ensure your cat was able to feed. Ovvi is designed to fix this issue on its own.  In most cases, Ovvi will resolve the issue automatically and your cat will be able to eat as usual.  Please check the feeding history 10 minutes after the error code appeared to ensure that your cat was able to feed properly.

2. When You Should Step In: Only if you notice Ovvi repeatedly trying to present the same can without success, or if you do not see any quantity eaten being updated in the feeding history 10 - 20 minutes after the initial alert, you can:

• • Remove the Feeding Mat for this particular can
  • Allow Ovvi to complete the feeding
  • Replace the mat once the can is finished
  • This manual step is rarely needed, but it’s available just in case.
