A7-006: Remove Can(s) and/or Lid(s) from Nest

What it means:

One or more cans or lids was left in the Nest after attempting the Manual Chute Release process.

  • This situation likely occurs after a failed attempt at resolving the following errors:

    • A1-001: Dispensing Error

    • A7-002: Carousel Jam

    • A1-002: Retainer Error

  • You will typically see these errors appear just before A7-006.

How to fix it:

  1. Unplug the Ovvi
  2. Remove the Chute System (it should no longer be locked).
  3. Reach your hand into the Ovvi and rotate the carousel until you can see the Nest.  (NOTE: Do not force the rotation if you feel resistance.  If you feel resistance, rotate the carousel in the opposite direction.)
  4. Remove the can or lid inside the Nest.
  5. Rotate the Nest back under the food door.  You should see that the back of the Arm is centered inside the Chute Funnel.
  6. Make sure to eject all empty cans and load the Chute System with at least 1 New Can. (NOTE: You must place at least one new can into the New Can Chute before reinserting the Chute System. If no new can is added, Ovvi will trigger the A6-002: No New Cans Detected error. This step is required for Ovvi to complete and resolve the current troubleshooting process.)
  7. Please the Chute System back into Ovvi.
  8. Open the Ovvi app and go to the home screen.
  9. Make sure you see the "1 or more can" or the accurate can count noted above the Schedule button.  If you do not see it, take the Chute System out and then put it back in.
  10. Once you see the "1 or more can" or the accurate can count, click on the Schedule button.
  11. In the Schedule button, click on Clear Current Can button.  A pop up message will ask you to confirm.  Click Clear Can Now.  Even though you already removed the can from the Nest, this process is required to realign the Arm.
  12. Once that's complete, your Ovvi will have successfully reset and will now resume normal operation.
